Product Overview
Type ZW32-12F Outdoor AC High-Voltage Vacuum Sectionalizer (hereinafter referred to as the "sectionalizer") is a new product independently developed by our company. It is a multi-functional intelligent device integrating four types of switches: vacuum circuit breaker, sectionalizer, and recloser. The main configuration consists of three parts: the vacuum sectionalizer body, Model MGK16 controller, and external voltage transformer (Note: Double-side PT is optional in distribution automation ring network lines). The product is widely used in 10kV overhead ring network lines of urban and rural distribution networks as an automatic switching device for section isolating switch, tie switch, and load regulation of ring network lines. In branch lines supplying large users, it can be used as a sectionalizer (commonly known as "watchdog"), and as a sectionalizer/recloser in overhead distribution feeder networks. Equipped with remote management mode, protection control functions, and communication capabilities, the vacuum sectionalizer can reliably detect and identify milliampere-level zero-sequence current and phase-to-phase short-circuit fault current within its protection zone, enabling automatic isolation of single-phase ground faults and phase-to-phase short-circuit faults.

Functional Features

This Installation and Operation Manual specifies the referenced standards, operating environmental conditions, model and rated parameters, structural characteristics, working principle, ordering information, as well as the methods for operation, installation, use, and maintenance of the sectionalizer.

Automatic Isolation of Single-Phase Ground Faults
When a single-phase ground fault occurs on a user's branch line, the sectionalizer automatically trips. Substations and other branch users on the feeder line will not be affected by the fault.
Automatic Isolation of Phase-to-Phase Short-Circuit Faults
In the event of a phase-to-phase short-circuit fault on a user's branch line, the sectionalizer trips prior to the outgoing line protection switch of the substation, automatically isolating the faulty line without causing power outages for other branch users on the feeder.
Rapid Fault Point Localization
After the sectionalizer triggers protection actions due to a fault on the user's branch line, only the responsible user experiences a power outage. The user can proactively report the fault information, enabling the power company to quickly dispatch personnel for on-site troubleshooting. If equipped with a communication module, the sectionalizer will automatically transmit fault data to the power management center.
User Load Monitoring
The sectionalizer can be configured with wired or wireless communication accessories to transmit monitoring data to the power management center, realizing real-time remote monitoring of user loads.
Remote Operation Function
Users can control the closing and opening of the vacuum sectionalizer via SMS or a computer-based backend system.
