Product Overview
The KYN61-40.5 armored metal-enclosed switchgear is a miniaturized armored metal-enclosed switchgear (referred to as "switchgear") independently developed by our company. Suitable for three-phase AC 50Hz power systems, this product is designed for receiving and distributing electrical energy, as well as controlling, protecting, and monitoring circuits. It is available in two structural configurations: armored cabinet and double-busbar cabinet. Compatible with SF6 circuit breakers, VD4-40.5 circuit breakers, and ZN72-40.5 fully insulated vacuum circuit breakers, the switchgear is equipped with advanced and reliable control and protection units in its secondary circuit. Adopting APG epoxy casting technology and reliable solid fully insulated busbar technology for full insulation design, the product features optimized electric field distribution measures. It is a miniaturized switchgear with advanced technology, stable performance, reasonable structure, ease of use, and high safety and reliability. In response to requirements from State Grid Corporation of China, provincial power grids, and user feedback, an improved new-type armored product (with a cabinet width of 1400mm) has been developed. Compared with the original structure, significant enhancements have been made in structural craftsmanship, insulation performance, and protective measures. Without the use of insulating partition materials, the air insulation distance can still meet the requirements of power systems, solving the problem of insulation degradation in 40.5kV armored metal-enclosed switchgear after long-term operation. The product has passed the internal arc test with an internal arc rating of AFLR 31.5kA for 0.5 seconds, complying with State Grid's technical requirements. It is suitable for 220kV and above grade substations as well as those operating in harsh environments.

3、Relative Humidity: Daily average not greater than 65%, monthly average not greater than 60% (Dehumidification equipment shall be added for locations exceeding this range);

5、Installation Location: Free from fire, explosion hazards, severe pollution, chemically corrosive gases, and intense vibration.

■ Key Technical Points

● The cabinet structure has been optimized to ensure the air clearance between live parts (phase-to-phase and phase-to-ground) reaches over 300mm. No insulating partitions are required between phases, relying entirely on air insulation. This reduces the problem of insulation degradation caused by condensation on the surface of insulating partitions under severe weather conditions.
● Circuit breakers and earthing switches with a large phase spacing (360mm) are adopted.
● When the distance between circuit breakers is 300mm, the switchgear uses inclined contact boxes to ensure an air clearance of over 300mm.
● The observation window of the switchgear is made of explosion-proof double-layer shielded tempered glass, improving the switchgear's explosion protection rating.
● Current transformers adopt a drawout structure for easy installation, operation, and maintenance.
● The busbar is manufactured using a vulcanization process to further enhance insulation performance.
● It has passed the internal arc test with an internal arc rating of AFLR 31.5kA for 0.5 seconds, possessing the ability to withstand arc faults.
● It can be equipped with an arc protection device to further ensure the safe operation of the switchgear.
