Scope of Application
The BZM1E Series Intelligent Molded Case Circuit Breakers are among the new-type circuit breakers independently researched, developed and manufactured by our factory, adopting internationally advanced design and manufacturing technologies. With a rated insulation voltage of 800V, these circuit breakers are applicable to AC 50Hz circuits with a rated operating voltage of 400V and a rated operating current up to 1250A. They are designed for infrequent circuit switching and infrequent motor starting.
Equipped with protection functions including overload long-time inverse-time delay, short-circuit short-time inverse-time delay, short-circuit short-time definite-time delay, short-circuit instantaneous operation and undervoltage protection, the circuit breakers can effectively protect circuits and power supply equipment from damage.
The circuit breaker can be installed vertically (i.e., upright mounting) or horizontally (i.e., horizontal mounting).
Reverse wiring is prohibited for this circuit breaker. Specifically, terminals 1, 3, 5 shall only be connected to the power supply lines, while terminals 2, 4, 6 shall only be connected to the load lines.
This circuit breaker complies with the following standards:
IEC 60947-1 and GB/T 14018.1 General Rules;
IEC 60947-2 and GB 14048.2 Low-voltage Circuit Breakers, plus Annex F Additional Requirements for Circuit Breakers with Electronic Overcurrent Protection;
IEC 60947-4 and GB 14048.4 Contactors and Motor Starters;
IEC 60947-5.1 and GB 14048.5 Electromechanical Control Circuit Devices.
Main Performance Features
The BZM1E series intelligent molded case circuit breakers are equipped with three-stage protection functions. The circuit breakers classified as Category B achieve full selective coordination with other line protection devices connected to the network circuit under short-circuit conditions.
They feature five trip characteristic options: users can set and adjust the release according to the load current requirements.
The electronic release is powered by the circuit breaker itself. The current signal and control power supply are derived from the toroidal current transformer installed inside the circuit breaker.
They are provided with a pre-alarm indication function: when the load current exceeds the preset value, the light-emitting diode (LED) on the circuit breaker cover turns yellow.
An overload indication function is also available: when the load current exceeds the set current, the LED on the circuit breaker cover turns red.
A dedicated function for fire protection is offered, which allows overload operation without tripping and only triggers an alarm: when the load current operates in an overload state, the circuit breaker will not trip but output a power contact signal to drive the corresponding alarm device.
The circuit breakers comply with the electromagnetic compatibility requirements specified in Annex F of IEC 60947.
Their overall dimensions are identical to those of the same-specification BZM1E series molded case circuit breakers, ensuring interchangeability in installation.
Note:(1) No code is designated for power distribution applications; the code 2 is used for motor protection applications.(2) No code is designated for direct operation; the code P is used for electric operation, and the code Z is used for rotary handle operation.
