- Type XGN15-12 AC High-Voltage SF₆ Ring Main Unit (hereinafter referred to as RMU) developed by Daya Electric Group, this new-generation high-voltage electrical product integrates advanced imported technologies and meets the requirements of domestic power grid upgrading and urban network renovation. After rigorous type tests and long-term commissioning verification, all technical performance indicators fully comply with IEC 298 and GB 3906 standards. The main switch, operating mechanism, and components of the unit cabinet adopt the FLN36-12D type SF₆ switchgear independently produced by Daya Electric Group. Alternatively, it can be equipped with original ABB HAD/US type SF₆ circuit breakers or VD4-S type vacuum circuit breakers according to user requirements, with two operation modes: HAD manual and electric. The cabinet body is fabricated by riveting aluminum-zinc coated steel plates processed by CNC machine tools, achieving an enclosure protection level of IP3X, and is equipped with reliable mechanical interlocking and misoperation prevention functions. This product features remarkable advantages such as compact size, light weight, aesthetic appearance, easy operation, long service life, high parameters, pollution-free operation, and minimal maintenance. It is widely used in industrial and mining enterprises, high-rise buildings, residential districts, schools, etc., for ring main power supply and terminal power distribution in 10kV power distribution systems. Equipped with an SF₆ load switch or an SF₆ load switch-fuse combination device, the RMU can close and break rated load current, close rated short-circuit current, and break transformer no-load current. When the combination device is equipped with fuses, it can interrupt 31.5kA short-circuit current in one operation, playing a crucial role in control and protection within the power system.

Note: The XGN15-12 type unitized SF6 ring main unit (RMU) consists of the following 4 components:① Busbar Compartment ② Main Switch ③ Cable Compartment ④ Operating Mechanism, Interlocking Mechanism, and Low-Voltage Control System
① Busbar Compartment
The busbar compartment is arranged at the upper part of the cabinet. Inside the compartment, the main busbars are connected together and run through the entire row of switchgear.
② Load Switch
The switch compartment is equipped with an SF6 load switch (model FLN36 or FLN56). The load switch housing is made of epoxy resin casting, filled with SF6 gas as the insulation medium, and is provided with an observation hole on the casing. An SF6 gas density gauge or a gas density monitor with alarm contacts can be installed in the switch compartment according to customer requirements.
③ Cable Compartment
The load switch cabinet is equipped with a spacious cable compartment, mainly used for cable connections. It allows single-core or three-core cables to be connected using simple non-shielded cable lugs. Meanwhile, the ample space can also accommodate components such as surge arresters, current transformers, and lower earthing switches. Designed in accordance with standards, the cabinet door is fitted with an observation window and a safety interlocking device. The bottom plate of the cable compartment is equipped with a sealing cover and appropriately sized cable clamps with support frames. Both the bottom plate of the cable compartment and the front door frame can be disassembled to facilitate cable installation.
④ Operating Mechanism, Interlocking Mechanism, and Low-Voltage Control Room
The low-voltage room with interlocking functions also serves as a control panel. It is equipped with a spring-operated mechanism with a position indicator and a mechanical interlocking device. Additionally, auxiliary contacts, trip coils, emergency trip mechanisms, capacitive live line indicators, key locks, and electric operating devices can be installed. The space in the low-voltage room also allows for the installation of control circuits, measuring instruments, and protective relays. The 750mm-wide cabinet is provided with two identical low-voltage rooms, which can accommodate more accessories.
The entire XGN15 switchgear can be divided into upper and lower parts. The upper part includes the busbar compartment, load switch, operating mechanism, and low-voltage room, which are separated from the lower cable compartment. Therefore, the equipment installed in the upper unit can be inspected, maintained, and renovated safely and conveniently, and the entire upper unit can be replaced if needed. Similar Products
